We collect audio files you record through the app ("Boards") when you choose to save them. These are stored locally on your device or in our secure cloud infrastructure (only if you choose to share or sync).

b. Device & Usage Data

We may collect limited technical information such as:

• Device type and operating system
• IP address (anonymized for analytics)
• Crash reports or performance diagnostics (via Expo or Apple tools)

c. Optional Account Information

If you create an account in future versions of the app, we may collect your name, email, and profile preferences. This feature may not be active in the initial release.

d. Analytics

We may use privacy-friendly analytics tools (such as Plausible or Apple App Analytics) to understand general usage patterns (e.g. number of board unwraps), but we do not track personal behavior or share data with third parties.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

• Deliver and store the voice boards you create
• Improve app performance and user experience
• Secure your data and prevent abuse
• Offer optional sharing features if you choose to use them

We do not sell your data, and your recordings are never accessed or used for advertising purposes.

We do not share your data with third parties, except:

• If needed to provide cloud storage (e.g. secure backend hosting provider)

Your private boards remain private unless you choose to share them.

Audio recordings are stored:

• Locally on your device (by default)
• In the cloud only if you share or upload them

We use industry-standard encryption and access controls to protect your data.

• Access, edit, or delete your voice boards
• Request deletion of your personal data

HearYouLater is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe we've collected such data, contact us immediately.
